We passed on #7 Journalism as the Derby favorite but backed him in the Preakness, where he looked even stronger.
We’re siding with him again here. Journalism is the only horse to run in all three Triple Crown races this year and will try to win his second leg tomorrow. He should get a perfect stalking trip behind Rodriguez, Crudo, and possibly Baeza, then try to hold off the late-charging Derby winner, Sovereignty.
We’ll also add a small win bet on Crudo, who’s stepping up in class but should love the classic distance.
